Our pupils noticed a surprise arrival upon their return to school this week. Local chicken raisers Birmingham Silkies donated us some of their chicken eggs to enable the pupils to witness the incredible experience of hatchery. Normally, all these chicks would have been hatched at Birmingham Silkies and be homed ethically or kept within the Birmingham Silkie home, but we’ve been kindly given the opportunity to share this amazing experience with our pupils. We love Red Nose Day here at High Point Academy. Our Children learn about the hardships faced by so many around the world while having a really fun day! On Friday, our school will be joining people across the UK to celebrate Red Nose Day 2024. It is a special event, encouraging young people to have fun whilst raising money to help others.
