The School Day

At High Point we understand the importance of structure and routine for our pupils. Most of our pupils arrive at High Point on school transport via a school, minibus or taxi. This journey can impact on their school day, therefore having an extended form time session to focus on well-being and reading, we feel supports a positive start to their day.
Time Lesson 
08:50-09:20am Registration and Form Time This allows times for pupils to prepare for their school day after arriving at school from school transport. This will also be the time where pupils will conduct reading activities to support their phonics and reading skills.  
09:20-10:15 Lesson 1 
10:15-11:00Lesson 2 
11:00-11:15 Break Time 
11:15-12:05Lesson 3 
12:05-13:05 Lunch Time 
13:05-13:30 Form Time Registration and interventions This supports pupils to transition from lunch time in preparation for their afternoon sessions. Pupils also have personalised interventions which focus on three areas of development: Social, Physical and Sensory.
KS4 will conduct their citizenship and PSHE lessons.  
13:30-14:20 Lesson 4 
14:20-15:10 Lesson 5 
15:10-15:20 Form Time  The form tutor will review the classes daily credit sheet and reflect upon their day to set goals for the next day.
